LASDRI GM RECEIVES ANOTHER EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP AWARD

The General Manager, Lagos State Drivers’ Institute (LASDRI), Afusat Tiamiyu, has again been recognised with an exemplary Leadership Award by an Abuja-based Non-Governmental Organisation, Yoruba Youth Assembly.

Receiving the award from the Group President, Ambassador Taiwo Tolulope, during the presentation ceremony held at the Agency Headquarters at Oshodi in Lagos, Tiamiyu expressed her appreciation to the organisation for finding her worthy of the prestigious award and commended them for their selfless service to the society at large.

According to her, it takes a passionate and committed Assembly that is based in Abuja to take so much interest and monitor the activities of a public servant in Lagos State.

Tiamiyu dedicated the award to the entire workforce of Lagos State Drivers’ Institute, whose commitment, willingness and full support had made her leadership of the Agency successful, resulting in the recognition and award.

Earlier, the Group Public Relations Officer, Mr. Olajide Olakunle, explained that the organisation has been following, with keen interest, the innovative trend of events and sharp improvements in the operations of the Institute since the mantle of leadership fell on Mrs. Afusat Tiamiyu.

While maintaining that the award was informed by the General Manager's impactful leadership style and work ethics, Olakunle urged the Management team of the Institute to take a cue from her, in order to effectively shape their future for the general good of all.

Recall that Tiamiyu had earlier been honoured by the Fight Against Corruption Organisation (FACO) in July, 2020 with the Excellent Leadership Award in recognition of her integrity, hard work and undeniable impact in various offices she held over the years as well as in her present position as the General Manager of the Drivers’ Institute.
