LASDRI GENERAL MANAGER BAGS EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP AWARD

The General Manager of the Lagos State Drivers' Institute, Mrs. Afusat Tiamiyu, receiving the award from the Chairman of Fight Against Corruption Organisation (FACO), Dr. Francis Shopekan.
The General Manager of Lagos State Drivers' Institute, Mrs. Afusat Tiamiyu has been honoured with the Excellent Leadership Award by the Fight Against Corruption Organisation (FACO), in recognition of her integrity, hard work and undeniable impact in various offices and capacities she had served over the years .

Responding after the Award was presented in her office at Oshodi, Tiamiyu appreciated the organisation for the honour bestowed on her, saying that the award is dedicated to all the management and staff of the Institute who were always working tirelessly to ensure that LASDRI fulfils its mandate.

She said "I have been opportune to have served in various capacities at the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), but was later transferred to LASDRI in 2009 as one of its pioneer staff. I rose through the ranks to the position of Director, Training before being appointed the Acting General and subsequently, the General Manager of the Institute in October 2019".

The LASDRI boss expressed gratitude for the award because it will further energise her to work harder towards the realisation of the institute set goals and objectives in tandem with the T.H.E.M.E.S. agenda.

The Chairman of Fight Against Corruption Organisation (FACO), Dr. Francis Shopekan, who presented her with the Award, said the organisation had thoroughly monitored the General Manager and observed that her self-discipline, efficiency and honest conduct had distinguished her over the years.

He added that her selfless efforts towards humanity and diligence in discharging her duty caught the attention of the organisation and made her a worthy recipient of the prestigious Award.

While maintaining that her exemplary leadership style and zero tolerance for corruption spurred her to enviable heights, Shopekan advised her to keep up the good work and not relent in her effort at repositioning the institute for greater achievements.
